After a year of planning and preparation, we finally departed Gosport for Cherbourg 05,45 Motor sailing in light winds arriving in Cherbourg at 19.00Thursday was Ascension Day - yet another French holiday so had to get stocked up with essentials wine, cheese & baguette before mid-day.
