Our first crossing to France 2009

25th August, Wednesday To Llanes

This next leg along the North coast of Spain has few marinas and some long hops. We left Santander and headed for Llanes, a small fishing harbour about 45 miles from Santander. It was motor sailing most of the way in light winds. On entering Llanes a local directed us to the only available berth alongside a new concrete piled structure. This proved to be an uncomfortable night with Gerry getting up to adjust the mooring warps every two hours due to the tide and uncomfortable swell.
