Our first crossing to France 2009

22nd – 27th September Vigo

We spent the next six days cleaning, painting and generally preparing Hecamede to be left here for the winter. Sails off & washed, water tanks flushed, spray hood & Bimini covers stored.

Vigo is a major commercial & Industrial city with a prosperous ship building yard. The two photos show the two very different views from our pontoon. The green hills of Galicia and the immediately adjacent ship yard which starts metal bashing at 5am !
Hecamede was lifted on Monday 27th and secured in a cradle & blocks for the winter.

We plan to return next April.
